Posture Assessment in Lowestoft

Good posture isn’t about standing perfectly
Many people think good posture means forcing your shoulders back and sitting bolt upright all day. In reality, good posture is about balance. It’s about your body moving efficiently, feeling comfortable and coping well with the demands of everyday life.
If you regularly experience aching shoulders, neck tension, back pain or stiffness after sitting, standing or walking, the way your body is moving could be contributing more than you realise.
At Total Balance Wellbeing Centre, we assess how your whole body works together, helping you understand where unnecessary strain may be coming from.

Looking beyond your spine
Posture isn’t just about your back. Your feet, knees, hips, shoulders and even the way you breathe can all influence how your body supports itself.
Rather than focusing on one area, we’ll assess your overall movement patterns to build a complete picture of how your body is functioning.

Finding the right approach
Depending on your assessment, your care may include chiropractic treatment, osteomyology techniques, massage therapy, movement advice, simple rehabilitation exercises and, where appropriate, a 3D Foot Scan.
Our aim isn’t to achieve ‘perfect posture’. It’s to help your body move more naturally, reduce unnecessary strain and improve everyday comfort.

Your first appointment
Getting answers starts with asking the right questions. During your consultation, we’ll explore your symptoms, their history, what makes them better or worse, and how they’re affecting your everyday routine. We’ll then carry out a detailed assessment from head to toe.
We’ll arrange a follow-up once we’ve reviewed everything thoroughly. At that appointment, we’ll explain exactly what we’ve found, discuss your options, and answer any questions you may have. If treatment is the right choice, we can often start straight away.
